GEA Elections Ballot

Candidates:

Emilio Alverio - It would be good to have a PR committee member take on the role of treasurer or secretary role to keep tabs on upcoming events, create meeting minutes, and advertise the same on social media and e-mails.

Aaron Blevins - 2 years of GEA experience as head of the travel committee, and 1 year of experience as GEA Treasurer. The knowledge gained this year as Treasurer would be a great asset towards having another successful financial year for the organization. (Note: Assuming I am back for another year at KU, as I still haven't heard back yet if I need to graduate next month)

Sebastian Huayamares - During my chemical engineering undergraduate, I was the Professional Development Chair for Theta Tau for 2 semesters, an orientation leasder for International Student Services, an Undergraduate Engineering Ambassador, an Honors Ambassador, and a Research Ambassador. I also attended the conferences of AIChE and SHPE. This year as a grad student, I was the International Graduate Senator at Student Senate, and I am the current treasurer for SHPE. I believe these various experience have given me what it takes to be successful at either the Vice President or Secretary positions that I am interested on. I want to actively contribute to GEA and this coming year I only have 1 class left and will be in a GRA, so I will definitely have time to do more than just the minimum required hours as an ambassador. My preference is the Vice President position, because I want to help the President and have some ideas for meeting topics and events. Secretary would be my second choice, and I am really good at taking meeting minutes and notes in general.

Bailey Miller - I am not the greatest speaker or the greatest writer. What I am, is a helpful and thoughtful person with a lot of drive who wants to see GEA succeed. As a returning ambassador, I'm well poised to help guide GEA through the next academic year. I have an idea of the path that GEA should be taking and I would like to explore some new paths.
